Um dicionário elege a palavra do ano (que por acaso não tenciona incluir no dicionário). Suficientemente estranho?
Não. É a luta pela atenção num mundo onde a informação passou de produto diferenciador e tornou uma commodity.
No caso, a Webster elegeu a palavra w00t — calão de um nicho da cibercultura, sendo usada pelos participantes de jogos online — como palavra do ano de 2007.

Sim e não. A iniciativa não é nova, sendo anterior à web social.
